The board of the Alazhar school gets sentenced to jail

Four out of Alazharskolan’s management got their verdict from the district court where they were sentenced to between 2–4 years in prison. The underlying factors of the verdict were the protection of criminals and gross accounting breach. They also get a ban on involving in companies for 4.5 years. In addition, the convicted and the companies Aman Holding AB and Aman Finance AB will pay damages to the Al-Azhar Foundation with 4,483,100kr plus interest. It was in November 20th  last year that five people linked to the private Islamic school Al-Azhar were arrested. All five have previously been on the school foundation board. Three of them were released in mid-December, the fourth just before Christmas.
